The Danish government is investing one billion kroner to bolster security in daycare institutions nationwide. This funding will facilitate the hiring of 1,400 additional adults to work within these facilities.
With approximately 4,000 daycare institutions across Denmark, the allocation translates to roughly 13 hours per week per institution if the new hires are employed full-time.
While this initiative is acknowledged as a positive step, its impact is viewed by some as limited, given the scope of the investment relative to the number of institutions. The new initiative is being promoted as “security” in government campaigns.
