Municipalities in the Copenhagen area are spending more than expected on paperwork, administration, and management, according to the latest reports. The Capital Region of Denmark (Region Hovedstaden) heavily dominates the top ten list of municipalities with excessive spending in these areas.

Aarhus is the only municipality outside the Capital Region to appear in the top rankings. Aarhus ranks third in terms of overspending on administrative tasks.

Otherwise, the remaining municipalities in the top ten are all located within the Capital Region of Denmark, highlighting a trend of higher administrative costs in the Copenhagen area.
