Four men have been arrested in connection with the violent robbery of a watch store in Aarhus that occurred less than a week ago. East Jutland Police announced the arrests in their daily report.
A judge will determine whether the men will be remanded in custody at a court hearing in Aarhus this afternoon. The robbery, which targeted Kejser Aarhus in Rosensgade on the morning of May 23, resulted in the theft of watches worth several million kroner.
According to reports, two men entered the store, threatened the owner and an employee, and restrained them in a back room. One of the victims reported that a pistol-like object was pressed against his neck.
After the robbers fled, the victims managed to escape the store by breaking a window. Bleeding from their hands, they sought assistance at a neighboring hairdresser.
The robbers allegedly used a Renault Clio with Swiss license plates as their getaway vehicle. Following a public appeal for information, the car was discovered by citizens in a parking lot near a Lidl on Skejbyvej.
The arrested individuals are foreign nationals aged between 27 and 62. Police suspect that two of the men directly carried out the robbery, while the other two are believed to have been involved in the crime.
The police have not yet released any information regarding the suspects’ statements on the charges.
