Hanegal Recalls Gluten-Free Vegetable Pate and Spice Mix Due to Undeclared Wheat

Hanegal is recalling its gluten-free vegetable pate and a spice mix after a routine check revealed the presence of undeclared wheat in the products. This poses a risk to consumers with gluten intolerance or wheat allergies.

The affected vegetable pate is the “Hanegal Pepper Vegetable Pate.” All batches of this product with a “best before” date up to and including September 21 are subject to the recall. The pate has been sold in various stores, including Føtex, Bilka, Netto, Nemlig.com, Meny, Kvickly, Dagli’Brugsen, Brugsen, Coops 365discount, and SuperBrugsen.

The recalled spice mix is the “Hanegal Herbs & Pepper Grill mix.” All spice mixes with a “best before” date up to and including September 21 are being recalled. This product has been sold in Kvickly, SuperBrugsen, Dagli’Brugsen, Brugsen, 365discount, and on Nemlig.com.

Gluten intolerance, also known as celiac disease, is a condition where individuals are hypersensitive to gluten proteins found in grains like wheat, barley, and rye. Reactions to gluten can vary, with symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhea, gas, and fatigue.

Hanegal advises customers to either discard the recalled products or return them to the store for a refund.
