Peter Lund Madsen’s final book, “The Mystery of the Sleeping Brain,” co-authored with Thomas Thaulov Raab, is set to be published on September 10th, a month after his death. The book, focusing on sleep and Madsen’s research contributions, will still be released despite initial uncertainty following his unexpected passing.
Madsen, a renowned brain researcher, psychiatrist, and TV personality known as “Brain-Madsen,” passed away at the age of 65 due to a sudden illness while cycling. His death was announced by his family on August 11th.
The book was a collaboration between Madsen and Thomas Thaulov Raab, a lecturer and author specializing in communicating brain research. Raab emphasized that the book delves into Madsen’s personal history as a researcher and his deep interest in sleep research. The two had been working together since 2003 on various projects, including books, television programs, and lectures.
