Nadia Nadim, a prominent Danish footballer, is joining HB Køge on a one-year contract, marking her return to Danish football. The transfer from Italian AC Milan will see her compete in the Danish A-League.

Nadim expressed her enthusiasm about joining HB Køge, citing the club’s ambitions as a key factor in her decision. She aims to contribute her experience and dedication to help the team maintain its top position both domestically and internationally.

The experienced 37-year-old striker, who was previously on loan to Swedish Hammarby from AC Milan for six months, brings a wealth of experience from her time at clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and teams in the USA.

HB Køge head coach Kristian Mørch highlighted Nadim’s unique goal-scoring ability and her capacity to create opportunities. He also emphasized the winning mentality and culture she brings, which he believes will inspire the entire squad.

Nadim’s impressive career includes 108 appearances for the Danish national team, where she scored 38 goals. Although she retired from the national team after the recent European Championship finals, she was a key player in Denmark’s European Championship silver medal win in 2017.
