Nadia Nadim, the Danish football star, is set to join HB Køge on a one-year contract, marking her return to Danish A-League football. The transfer from AC Milan has been confirmed by HB Køge, according to TV 2 Sport.

Nadim expressed her enthusiasm in a press release, stating she is “incredibly happy to be back in Danish football” and eager to contribute to HB Køge Women’s ambitions. She aims to use her “determination and enormous dedication” to help the club maintain its top position both domestically and internationally.

The 37-year-old striker arrives from AC Milan, where she was previously loaned to Swedish side Hammarby for six months. Her extensive career includes stints at prominent clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and various teams in the USA.

HB Køge head coach Kristian Mørch highlighted Nadim’s unique scoring ability and chance creation, describing her as a “charismatic striker“. He also emphasized the valuable mentality and winning culture she brings, which he believes will “undoubtedly inspire the entire squad“.

Nadim’s impressive record includes 108 appearances for the Danish national team, where she scored 38 goals. However, she concluded her national team career after the recent European Championship finals. She was a key player in Denmark’s silver-winning team at the 2017 European Championship.
