Concert-goers heading to Ed Sheeran’s sold-out concerts in Øresundsparken from Thursday to Sunday should utilize public transportation or bicycles due to anticipated traffic congestion, according to Tårnby Municipality.
With up to 180,000 attendees expected over the four days, public parking will be severely limited, and significant delays entering and exiting the venue are anticipated.
Amager Strandvej will be closed from Hedegaardsvej to Søvænget between 2:00 PM and midnight from Thursday to Sunday. Those driving to Copenhagen are advised to park at the airport and take public transportation to the concert venue.
The Metro company will treat passengers to audio greetings from Ed Sheeran at Femøren Station, starting at 1:00 PM on each concert day. These greetings, recorded by Sheeran himself, will welcome fans to the show. Additionally, look for personal greetings from Ed Sheeran on information screens in trains and at stations.
The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) forecasts a risk of heavy rain on Thursday starting at 4:00 PM with potential rainfall of 25 to 35 millimeters in 6 hours.
Past concert experiences in 2022 saw criticisms regarding overcrowded and hot trains, long waits, and lack of information on the metro.
