Copenhagen is bracing for potential congestion tonight as a sold-out Champions League playoff match between F.C. Copenhagen (FCK) and F.C. Basel coincides with the DHL relay race in Fælledparken. Authorities are implementing plans to manage the large crowds and ensure the smooth flow of traffic around the area.

The Copenhagen Police are working with event organizers to mitigate potential disruptions, acknowledging that the convergence of these two major events will likely cause congestion on streets and public transport.

FCK has issued an appeal to its fans, advising them to avoid the southern part of Fælledparken due to the DHL relay race. The club is encouraging fans to arrive early and to use Øster Alle to access Parken’s A-stand, Section 12, and C-stand.

The DHL relay race, which has a total of 160,000 participants over five days, starts at 6 PM. The doors to Parken open at 7 PM, and the Champions League playoff match is scheduled to kick off at 9 PM with over 35,000 spectators expected.
