Disney+ has acquired the exclusive first streaming rights to new cinema films from Nordisk Film starting in 2026. This deal will bring approximately 90 feature films from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland to the streaming platform.

The agreement ensures that these Nordic films will be available on Disney+ seven months after their theatrical release. For a period of 12 months, Disney+ will be the only streaming service offering these titles.

Despite the exclusive streaming window, the films will remain accessible for digital purchase and rental through various other providers. This allows viewers alternative ways to access the content outside of the Disney+ subscription.
