FC Nordsjælland has acquired 20-year-old Runar Norheim from Tromsø, Norway, on a five-year contract to bolster their defense. The young player has already amassed considerable experience.

Norheim, who debuted for Tromsø’s first team at age 15 in 2020 and played 91 games for the club, has also represented Norway on youth national teams from U16 to U20.

Alexander Riget, FC Nordsjælland’s director of football, highlighted Norheim’s versatility. The club envisions him primarily playing as a full-back.

Norheim expressed enthusiasm about joining FC Nordsjælland, citing the club’s offensive style of play as a key factor in his decision. He emphasized his own attacking mindset and desire to contribute to the team’s offensive efforts.

The signing comes as FC Nordsjælland seeks to improve their performance in the Superligaen. The team recently secured their second win of the season against Viborg.
