A 39-year-old man has been remanded in custody for four weeks after being charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl. According to East Jutland Police, the alleged incidents occurred over several months, starting in September 2024.

The indictment states that the rapes allegedly took place at a public school in Aarhus, including in one of the school’s toilets, as well as at the girl’s home. The man appeared for a preliminary hearing at the Court in Aarhus on Wednesday.

Authorities have not disclosed the specific school involved, stating that the meetings between the man and the girl occurred outside of school hours. The police confirmed that neither the man nor the girl is affiliated with the educational institution.

The 39-year-old man has pleaded not guilty in court. While he admits to having intercourse with the girl on two occasions, he denies knowing that she was under the age of 15.
