Magnus Jensen, Lyngby Boldklub’s captain and player of the year, is transferring to Sønderjyske and staying in the Superliga. This move comes after Lyngby’s relegation and offers Jensen the opportunity to continue playing at the highest level.
The transfer fills a leadership void at Sønderjyske created by the departure of Marc Dal Hende. Sønderjyske’s sporting director, Casper Daather, praised Jensen’s physical strength, leadership qualities, and ability to contribute to set pieces.
Jensen joined Lyngby in the summer of 2023 and played 55 games for the club. He expressed his ambition to play at the highest possible level and highlighted the great plan Sønderjyske has for him. The 28-year-old defender has signed a contract with Sønderjyske until the summer of 2029.
