New Citizenship Test Includes Questions on Danish Culture and Retirement Age

The 2025 citizenship test in Denmark, administered on Tuesday, included questions about Danish social conditions, culture, history, and values. A portion of the test focused on the fame of Susanne Bier and changes to the retirement age since 2018.

The test, published by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (Siri), is a key requirement for those seeking Danish citizenship. It assesses foreigners’ knowledge of Danish society.

Participants must answer 45 questions within 45 minutes, achieving a minimum of 36 correct answers to pass. A specific requirement includes correctly answering at least 4 out of 5 of the last five questions, which pertain to Danish values.

Successfully passing this test fulfills one of the requirements for becoming a Danish citizen.
