Ten high-ranking members of the Bandidos motorcycle club were released from custody on Tuesday by a judge in the Glostrup Court. The men had been detained since early April.

The judge’s decision was based on the assessment that the potential sentence the men might receive would not warrant their continued pre-trial detention. The court deemed that the length of their custody was disproportionate to the anticipated outcome of the case.

The ten individuals face accusations of continuing Bandidos’ operations despite a temporary ban imposed on the group. A case concerning the potential dissolution of the Bandidos is currently underway in the Helsingør Court.

The charges stem from alleged meetings held at a restaurant in Ishøj and a pub in Horsens. Prosecutors claim that the men convened on four occasions to discuss the motorcycle club’s activities and operational matters.

The ten men were apprehended on April 1st at the pub in Horsens. They were then brought before a preliminary hearing the following day, which led to their initial detention.

The custody period had been extended several times before Tuesday’s ruling. All ten men have pleaded not guilty to the charges and are protected by a gag order, restricting the disclosure of their specific roles within the motorcycle club.
