A man and a woman were arrested and charged Monday in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old man whose body was discovered in a sewer in Harlev in February, according to East Jutland Police.
The suspects, a 41-year-old Polish man and a 30-year-old Danish woman, both residing in Denmark, were apprehended at approximately 9:30 a.m. at a residence in Viby. They are scheduled to appear in court in Aarhus on Tuesday.
The victim, a Polish man, was found dead on February 28.
Police conducted a large, coordinated operation on Monday at multiple locations around Aarhus as part of the investigation, which included searches.
Police Inspector Anders Uhrskov stated that the investigation is ongoing to gain a complete understanding of the events, even with the arrests.
The hearing on Tuesday will be closed to the public to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
