Mølgaard highlighted the appeal of the national team environment, stating his affection for the team and his continued commitment to representing Denmark. His decision comes even with the understanding that North American seasons can be lengthy and playoffs may conflict with international tournaments.

The 20-year-old center recently showcased his skills at the World Championship, where Denmark achieved a historic fourth-place finish. Mølgaard considered the tournament a personal breakthrough at the A-national team level, attributing his success to the supportive team environment. While pleased with his performance, he expressed disappointment that the team couldn’t secure a medal for the veteran players.
