TV 2’s facilities in Odense were evacuated Thursday morning following a bomb threat, according to reports from Funen Police and TV 2 itself. The threat, received via email shortly after 10:00 AM, prompted an immediate police response and the subsequent evacuation of the Kvægtorvet area.
Funen Police’s communications advisor, Mads Boel, confirmed that TV 2 received a threat by email, leading to the evacuation. However, details regarding the nature of the threat remain undisclosed at this time.
TV 2 employees received an SMS warning them of the bomb threat at Kvægtorvet, instructing them to leave the building immediately via the nearest safe exit and to follow police instructions.
In a written statement to Ritzau, TV 2 confirmed the bomb threat and the evacuation of its employees on Kvægtorvet in Odense. The organization stated that the police were present, and they had no further information to share at that moment.
Due to the ongoing evacuation, police have closed Rugårdsvej in Odense, as announced on social media platform X.
