Sixty-Year-Old Man Confesses to Smuggling Almost Two Tons of Hash into Denmark

A 60-year-old man, Henrik Jensen, has been sentenced to four years and six months in prison for his involvement in smuggling almost 1900 kilos of hash into Denmark. The sentencing took place in the Court of Aarhus on Wednesday, following Jensen’s confession.

Jensen admitted to smuggling, possessing, and redistributing the hash on multiple occasions between March 2021 and his arrest in December 2024. According to a press release from the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK), the investigation revealed Jensen’s significant role in the network’s extensive smuggling operation.

The police uncovered communication related to the case through the encrypted communication platform Sky ECC. Authorities have confiscated 400,000 kroner, believed to be Jensen’s profit from the hash smuggling.

Special Prosecutor in NSK Jacob Gents stated that a long-term investigation had revealed that the convicted person had played a significant role over a long period in the network’s smuggling of large quantities of hash to Denmark.

Jensen has been in custody since his arrest on December 10 of the previous year. In a related case, a 70-year-old man was sentenced to three years and six months in prison in April for bringing about a ton of hash to Denmark in his truck. There is still one person charged and imprisoned in the case.
