A 28-year-old man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder during a preliminary hearing at the Court in Lyngby on Thursday. The man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, along with two other men aged 27 and 28, who have been in custody since the beginning of July.
The four men are charged with preparing an attempted murder on a person whose identity is unknown to the police. The prosecution alleges they acquired an H9 pistol with ammunition and an electric scooter for a 15-year-old Swede to carry out the crime. The attempted murder was thwarted by their arrest.
The 15-year-old Swede was apprehended on July 1 in an apartment in Værløse, where police found a loaded pistol. He and the two other men in custody have also pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Cecilie Quist, stated that the 28-year-old who appeared on Thursday has been remanded in custody until August 13. The 27-year-old in custody followed the hearing via video link from Vestre Prison.
All four defendants are protected by a name ban, making it illegal to publish information that could identify them. The preparation for the attempted murder allegedly involved several unidentified accomplices who may still be at large. The National Unit for Special Crime (NSK) is continuing its investigation.
