A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl at the Landsskuet agricultural show in Herning on Friday afternoon. According to duty officer Anders Bøje Hansen of Midt- og Vestjyllands Politi (Central and West Jutland Police), the man is accused of performing sexual acts other than intercourse.

The alleged assault occurred when the man took the girl into some bushes, where he allegedly touched her and subjected her to the assault.

The girl reported the incident to her mother on Friday afternoon. After a search, authorities located and arrested the 19-year-old man on Friday night.

The 19-year-old is scheduled to appear before a judge at the Court in Viborg on Saturday afternoon for a custody hearing.
