A 15-year-old boy will remain in custody until June 4th following a hearing at the Court in Randers on Friday. The decision comes after his arrest in connection with a violent incident involving a minor girl in Glesborg on Djursland.
The specific charges against the boy have not been disclosed to the public due to a reporting ban imposed during the part of the custody hearing where the charges were presented.
The hearing was closed to the public to protect the evidence the police have against the boy and his own statements regarding the incident.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, the boy allegedly approached and grabbed the girl.
East Jutland Police stated on Thursday that they are taking the case very seriously based on interrogations and findings made during the arrest and are conducting an investigation to clarify the sequence of events.
Prior to the hearing, East Jutland Police declined to comment on the specific charges against the boy.
The 15-year-old has chosen not to appeal the detention.
