Yaroslavl’s Lokomotiv defeated St. Petersburg’s SKA with a score of 3:2 in a KHL Championship away game on Friday. This marks Lokomotiv’s third victory over SKA this season.
Lokomotiv, undefeated at home, secured the win with goals from Georgy Ivanov, Pavel Kraskovsky, and Daniil Misyul. SKA responded with goals from Danila Galenyuk and Marat Khairullin.
SKA head coach Igor Larionov described the match as being at a “playoff level” and attributed the loss to a lack of luck.
SKA, currently outside the playoff zone in ninth place with 20 points, has lost 12 of their 20 regular-season games. They will host Moscow Dynamo on November 4. This defeat follows SKA’s recent victories over Siberia (3:2) and Sochi (8:1). The previous encounters between SKA and Lokomotiv this season resulted in victories for Lokomotiv with scores of 4:2 and 3:1.
