Raisa Ryazanova celebrates 81st birthday amidst personal hardships

Raisa Ryazanova, the actress famed for her role as Tosya in “Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears,” has turned 81 years old. Despite the film’s success and an early promising career, Ryazanova’s life has been marked by significant challenges and losses.

The actress faced difficulties after her early success, including raising her son alone after separating from her husband. During the financially challenging 1990s, she worked as a taxi driver to support herself.

In 2020, Ryazanova experienced the tragic loss of her son, Danila, who died at the age of 51 due to a detached blood clot. She continues to mourn his passing.

Recently, in December 2024, Ryazanova was defrauded of 4 million rubles by scammers posing as FSB officers. They convinced her that her savings were at risk and instructed her to withdraw the money and hand it over to a courier. Although the courier was apprehended and sentenced, the accomplices remain at large, and the money has not been recovered. Ryazanova has taken responsibility for the incident, attributing it to her own naivety.

Despite these hardships, Raisa Ryazanova remains active in her profession, continuing to perform in films and plays.
