A criminal case is being prepared in the Krasnogvardeysky district of St. Petersburg following a road shooting incident. The driver, who brandished a pistol at a traffic light, was apprehended under the “Interception” plan.

The incident occurred when a 26-year-old procurement manager, driving a Lada Largus, stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Industrialny Prospekt and Kosygina Prospekt. An Opel Tigra pulled up next to him, and when the light turned green, the driver of the Opel sped ahead and allegedly fired several shots at the Lada.

The manager reported damage to the hood and two non-penetrating holes in the windshield of his vehicle.

Approximately one hour later, a traffic police squad stopped the Opel Tigra on Zanevsky Prospekt, 1. A 20-year-old resident of St. Petersburg was taken into custody and is currently being questioned at the police station. Authorities seized a pneumatic pistol from the individual.
