Significant disruptions to train schedules on the MCD-1 and MCD-2 lines, along with the Belorussky and Savelovsky directions, are causing passenger congestion and longer wait times.
The changes, implemented on October 18 and 19, are due to track modernization work at Bakovka station in the Odintsovo urban district. These adjustments are primarily scheduled for weekends to minimize impact during peak commuting hours.
On the MCD-1 line, commuters at Odintsovo station experienced unusually high passenger volume, similar to weekday levels. The adjustments have also affected Aeroexpress trains serving Sheremetyevo Airport.
Specifically, on the Belorussky direction, trains between Rabochiy poselok and Bakovka are operating on a single track. Some trains traveling from Kuntsevskaya to Odintsovo are bypassing Bakovka, Nemchinovka, Setun, and Skolkovo, resulting in extended intervals of up to 1 hour and 40 minutes.
In Moscow, intervals between Kuntsevskaya and Belorusskaya have increased to half an hour, and several long-distance suburban trains have been canceled.
On the Savelovsky direction, intervals have increased to 15 minutes, with some trains terminating at or originating from Savelovskaya or Kuntsevskaya. Aeroexpress routes have also been shortened to these stations. Passengers traveling to Sheremetyevo are advised to use Khovrino station on the Zamoskvoretskaya metro line and buses No. 1195 and 1195D.
On the MCD-2 line, weekend schedule changes primarily impact morning hours. Intervals between Nakhabino and Tushinskaya have increased to two hours, from Tushinskaya to Kurskaya – up to 1 hour 40 minutes, and on the entire Kursk direction of the “diameter” – up to half an hour.
