Zelensky Imposes Sanctions on Russian, Chinese, and Iranian Entities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed decrees enacting sanctions against numerous Russian companies and citizens, as well as entities from China and Iran. These restrictive measures target manufacturers and suppliers associated with the Russian military-industrial complex.

The sanctions, announced on Tuesday, include asset freezes within Ukraine, cancellation of licenses, prohibitions on intellectual property transfers, and termination of trade agreements.

Among the Russian companies sanctioned are “Carbon Solutions,” “Tulaoboronstroy,” “South Ural Valve and Insulator Plant,” “ASR,” “Kami-Group,” and “SFG Baltica.” “SFG Baltica,” based in St. Petersburg, specializes in supplying high-precision equipment and CNC machines.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian government has imposed sanctions on companies from China and Iran allegedly involved in supplying equipment and components to Russia, potentially circumventing existing sanctions. Restrictive measures have also been applied to specific state bodies and legal entities in Iran accused of supplying military products to Russia.
