Telegram Introduces Email Authorization Option

Telegram users can now use email as a primary authorization method, offering an alternative to SMS or phone call verification. This new feature, available in the “Privacy” settings, provides a convenient way to access the messenger, especially when SMS or call verification isn’t possible.

The option to use email for authorization was noticed by users in Russia on October 31 and confirmed by news outlets. The email address for verification is located in the “Privacy” section of the Telegram settings.

This new email authorization option simplifies the login process in situations where SMS or call verification methods are unavailable. Instructions on how to activate the new feature have been shared by sources familiar with Telegram updates.

Previously, Telegram expanded its Peer-to-Peer login program, allowing users to send SMS codes to other users for easier access.
