The Zegin company and the “Verica Mehandziska” Foundation have donated medical equipment worth approximately 140,000 euros to the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at GOB “8 Septemvri” in Skopje. This donation significantly boosts Macedonian healthcare and showcases social responsibility.
A key component of the donation is a hyperbaric chamber. This will enhance the quality of healthcare services, particularly for burn patients and those with chronic wounds, diabetic foot, and those needing postoperative treatment. It will also benefit athletes with sports injuries by improving their sports performance. The chamber will be accessible to the plastic surgery, pulmonology, dermatology, and other departments.
In addition to the hyperbaric chamber, the donation includes a new air conditioner, two multifunctional tables for physical rehabilitation, and a treadmill. The rehabilitation tables can be used in various fields, including neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, disability, geriatric, sports medicine, and mental rehabilitation.
The hyperbaric chamber project, which has been in development for five months, aims to improve access to quality healthcare for all citizens.
