A 49-year-old man from Tetovo has been detained after allegedly making death threats and threatening other serious crimes against a woman, political party officials, and individuals with certain political beliefs in a Facebook post. The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tetovo has initiated proceedings against the suspect, acting on a criminal complaint from the SIA Tetovo.

The suspect is accused of endangering security under Article 144 paragraph 5 of the Criminal Code.

The threatening post, published on October 28th, contained offensive and derogatory content in Albanian. According to the complaint, it caused the injured party to experience anxiety and fear.

The public prosecutor requested a detention measure for the suspect, and the judge of preliminary procedure of the Basic Court in Tetovo accepted the proposal.
