Political Scandal Erupts in Tetovo as NAI Representative Meets with Levica Candidate

A major political scandal has emerged in Tetovo during the elections, igniting strong reactions and accusations of compromised values for political gain. The “Vlen” coalition has issued a statement condemning a meeting between Ardi Ismaili, a representative of NAI in Tetovo, and Katka Bozhinovska, a candidate from Levica.

The coalition claims that this meeting serves as clear evidence that NAI is prepared to sacrifice national values in their pursuit of power. “Vlen” strongly criticizes Levica’s past actions, citing instances of public insults towards Albanians, opposition to an independent Kosovo, resistance to NATO membership, and calls for mosque closures and restrictions on Albanian rights.

According to “Vlen”, NAI’s willingness to negotiate with a party holding such views represents a “shameful deal” and a “moral collapse,” rather than legitimate politics or strategy. The coalition argues that NAI is willing to align itself with forces harboring anti-Albanian sentiments in order to maintain their political positions.

“Vlen” urges citizens in Tetovo, Debar, Struga, and all Albanian municipalities to recognize that a vote for NAI on November 2nd is essentially a vote for Levica, anti-Albanianism, and political dishonor. The coalition contrasts this with its own representatives, such as Bilal Kasami in Tetovo and Fisnik Mela in Debar, who they claim embody dignity, development, and a promising future.

The statement concludes with a call to action, asserting that Albanians do not compromise with those who have insulted them, nor do they sell themselves out, but instead vote for meaningful change.
