Miroslav Labudović visits the Old Skopje Bazaar and discusses revitalization with local artisans

Miroslav Labudović, a candidate for mayor of Centar, visited the Old Skopje Bazaar today to meet with members of the local guild and discuss plans to revitalize the historic area.

Labudović engaged in conversations with numerous craft shop owners, listening to their personal stories and the history of their family businesses, many of which have been passed down through generations.

During the visit, Labudović emphasized the importance of preserving the Old Skopje Bazaar as a vital part of the city’s heritage. “The Old Skopje Bazaar is the most beautiful living story of our city,” he stated, highlighting its historical significance and cultural value.

Accompanied by Bujar Dulovi, president of the Bazaar guild association, and other guild members, Labudović discussed the challenges facing the Bazaar and explored potential solutions. He expressed his commitment to working with the City of Skopje to restore the Bazaar’s former glory and enhance its appeal as a tourist destination.

Labudović also acknowledged the significant contribution of the Turkish community to the Old Bazaar’s guild and extended his congratulations on the occasion of the Turkish Republic Day, celebrated on October 29. He affirmed his dedication to supporting the Bazaar and its community, emphasizing the importance of culture and unity in bringing life back to the area. He expressed confidence that, through collaboration, they could restore the vibrancy of the Skopje Bazaar.
