Mickoski Calls for Unity in Kichevo Ahead of Second Round of Local Elections

VMRO-DPMNE expects to secure a historic number of mayoralties, potentially reaching 60 including the capital, after the second round of local elections. Party leader Hristijan Mickoski made the announcement at a rally in Kichevo, urging citizens to unite and support their candidate.

Mickoski emphasized the importance of the upcoming vote on November 2nd, calling on residents of Kichevo to put aside their differences and unite around shared values. He stressed the significance of supporting Aleksandar, the VMRO-DPMNE candidate, regardless of ethnic, religious, or political affiliation.

Mickoski highlighted the party’s success in the first round, claiming victory in 58 municipalities for councilor lists. He acknowledged the challenges faced but credited the unity and support of citizens for overcoming their opponents.

He also cautioned voters to consider the values represented by the candidates, urging them to reject what he described as an environment of “crime, debauchery, depravity and blackmail.” He appealed to voters to think of the future and the well-being of their families, particularly daughters and granddaughters.

Mickoski concluded with a message of unity, calling on all ethnic communities – Macedonians, Albanians, Turks, Roma, Serbs, Vlachs, Bosniaks, and others – to build a shared future for Macedonia. He encouraged voters to focus on the future rather than dwelling on the past, believing in those who promise a better tomorrow.
