Three individuals were arrested in separate incidents across North Macedonia for driving under the influence of alcohol. The drivers, located in Bitola, Delchevo, and Kočani, now face charges under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code for reckless driving.
In Bitola, N.L. (42) was apprehended on “Solunska” street at 9:13 PM after a traffic stop revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.99 promiles while driving a “Volkswagen Passat”. Police officers from the Bitola Police Department made the arrest.
In Delchevo, O.Z. (55) from the village of Gabrovo, was arrested after crashing an “Opel” with Bulgarian plates into his neighbor’s fence. Authorities determined his blood alcohol content to be 1.82 promiles. The incident occurred at 00:55 AM in the village of Gabrovo.
In Kočani, J.I. (57) from the village of Banja, was arrested after hitting several parked vehicles while driving a “Yugo” on “Roza Petrova” street. His blood alcohol level was measured at 2.01 promiles. The Kočani Police Station made the arrest on October 27.
All three individuals are currently detained at the police station pending further legal action.
