VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski, along with mayoral candidate Miroslav Labudović, visited Madzir Maalo in the municipality of Centar, highlighting the substandard living conditions and urban planning issues faced by residents. Nikoloski criticized the current municipal leadership for prioritizing personal financial interests over the well-being of citizens.
Nikoloski stated that the current state of Madzir Maalo, located in the heart of Skopje, exemplifies urban chaos, with development skewed towards benefiting specific individuals. He pointed out that the area’s issues stem from the fact that those close to the current leadership of the Municipality of Centar cannot find their financial interest.
He highlighted the problem of new buildings being constructed along narrow streets, creating access issues for both new and existing residents. According to him, the situation exemplifies the destruction of the municipality of Centar and necessitates change.
Nikoloski recalled his previous offers as Minister of Transport and Communications to enact special laws for the municipalities of Centar and Karposh to foster development while safeguarding urban living. He claimed that the current mayors of both municipalities rejected these proposals, revealing the reasons behind the present urban planning challenges.
Nikoloski pledged to work with Labudović, as the future mayor of Centar, to address the problems faced by Madzir Maalo residents and ensure decent living conditions.
