Reports of Vandalism and Theft of Election Posters Filed with Police

Danish police have received 67 reports of vandalism or theft of election posters since they were put up on October 25th for the upcoming municipal and regional elections.

According to figures from the National Police (Rigspolitiet), the majority of the incidents involve vandalism, with 54 reports of vandalism, one report of gross vandalism, and one report of vandalism under aggravating circumstances.

East Jutland leads all police districts with 12 reports of vandalism or theft, followed by Copenhagen West with 11 reports.

In contrast, Bornholm has not reported a single incident.

The National Police’s data covers the period from October 4th to 29th and is based on information from the police’s case management system. Additionally, there have been 11 reports of election poster theft.
