Comedian Jonatan Spang is facing new accusations, according to a post he made on Instagram on Friday afternoon. He states that he does not recognize the stories and accusations.
The announcement comes after Spang was dismissed from his role as host of the DR program “Tæt på sandheden” in September, following accusations of abuse against a 15-year-old girl that allegedly occurred 16 years ago, when Spang was 31.
According to reports, the now 32-year-old woman contacted DR, accusing him of abuse in 2009. She told a news organization that she reached out to Spang after he contacted her last year after years of no contact. She confronted him about the incident and he responded that they had experienced the situation differently.
Spang previously addressed the initial accusations on Instagram, stating that he should have acted more responsibly and never started a relationship with “such a young person.” The woman has filed a police report against Spang for abuse, explaining she had hesitated due to the time that had passed, but was informed there is no statute of limitations.
Spang’s press officer confirmed that the comedian will not comment on the new accusations, stating he has “nothing further to add until the police have investigated the allegations.”
On the same day as Spang’s post, another media outlet reported that another woman has been questioned by the police after filing a report of abuse. This report also alleges that the abuse occurred in 2009, when the reporter was 16 years old.
