Andreas Cornelius is back in the FC Copenhagen squad for their Superliga match against FC Fredericia. The striker has been plagued by injuries in recent years.
Cornelius had a period of consistent playing time earlier this season. His last appearance was on September 13 in a 1-2 loss to Brøndby.
He was prepared to play against FC Midtjylland on October 5. Another injury sidelined him again.
Cornelius was in the squad for the cup match against Hobro IK this week. He remained an unused substitute.
Marcos Lopez could also return for the match against FC Fredericia. Lopez missed FCK’s last two games.
Thomas Delaney, Magnus Mattsson, Rodrigo Huescas, Birger Meling, and Oliver Højer remain sidelined. These players continue to be on FCK’s injury list.
FC Copenhagen currently sits in fourth place in the Superliga. The team is eight points behind AGF, who is in first place.
